Meet Our Staff

Pastor Corey G. Battle is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Great Commission Baptist Church in Denison, TX. His ministry journey began at a young age, serving at St. Luke Baptist Church in Paris, TX, as an Usher. During his teenage years, Pastor Battle continued serving in Roxton, TX, as an usher, choir member, and youth worker.

In October 1998, Pastor Battle preached his first sermon at Rockyford Baptist Church, marking the beginning of his pastoral journey. He went on to serve as Pastor of Orange Chapel Baptist Church in Arthur City, TX, and Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Clarksville, TX. In 2020, he relocated to Las Vegas, NV, where he worked in ministry at Second Baptist Church and Carver Baptist Church.

After returning to Texas, Pastor Battle became the Senior Pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church in Whitewright, TX, serving there for 1 year and 7 months. In following God’s calling, Pastor Battle founded Great Commission Baptist Church in Denison, TX, where he continues to lead with a heart for ministry. He is deeply grateful for all that God is doing in the life of the church and the community.
